On the weekend of May 5-6, 2007, we were featured on the TV show: "Texas Country Reporter", with Bob Phillips. (Show was also re-broadcast, or “re-run”, on July 21-22.) This syndicated show began over 30 years ago in North Texas, and is now seen in every Texas TV market and outside the state on cable and satellite.

We spent two days in February/March with the host and film crew of the show as they first followed us around while we photographed churches, and then as we met to review and discuss prints. Each of us was interviewed on camera, and they filmed us working separately and as a group.

The TV people took quite an interest in the large format cameras – especially the 7x17 – and the fact that we all use film. We were fascinated by their high tech video gear, and they were fascinated with 20 minute exposures and wooden tripods. We also supplied them with scans of some of our photographs, which appear in the segment.

The segment lasted about 7 – 8 minutes and really made us and the project look good. DVDs of the show can be ordered at: www.texascountryreporter.com (show # 1038)

The Texas Country Reporter folks have an Annual Festival each Fall. The 12th Annual Texas Country Reporter Festival will be held October 27, 2007 in Waxahachie, TX. We’ll be there with a booth and many of our prints for you to view and perhaps purchase.
